At the City Park Pool—Fort Collins’s only outdoor public pool—you’ll find something fun for kids (and adults!) of all ages! Situated in downtown Fort Collins in the middle of City Park, this seasonally open pool features two large water slides, a lazy river, beach entry and a play structure for the younger kiddos IN the water! Single admission rates are $6.00 for youth (ages 2-17), $7.00 for adults (facility rental available, click here for information on summer pool passes). Edora Pool Ice Center (EPIC)

When the summer storms roll in, take your water fun indoors! Edora Pool Ice Center (EPIC) is Northern Colorado’s premiere ice and aquatics facility. Highlights include separate warm water therapy and instructional pools, two large lap pools (we’re talking 50 meter and 20 meter) and four diving boards of varying heights! Check out the website to view the various aquatics programs available. Rates: age 2 and younger are free, youth (under 18) $4.00, adults $5.00 and senior (60+) $4.00

Mulberry Pool

This indoor pool facility is great for the younger kiddos! The main attraction of this pool is the play structure and zero-entry (like a beach!) which little kids will enjoy the most. And parents, you might love the separate 7-person spa. Open year-round for swimming fun, lessons and lap-lanes. Rates: youth ages 2-17, $4.00 and adults $5.00.

Splash Pads
Spring Canyon Park
2626 W Horsetooth Rd., Fort Collins
Free and open to the public. This splash pad is part of the inspiration playground, which is meant to include children of all abilities. The splash pad is right in front of the playground, so come prepared to get wet when your family visits in the summer months! There are three sensors on the ground of the splash pad for kids to activate the water.

Fossil Creek Park
5821 S. Lemay
Details: Free and open to the public. The splash pad is located on the west side of the park and is not visible from the playground. The splash pad is located near the lake and feels like it is part of the natural area because of the large rocks that make up the splash area.

Oak Street Plaza Park
Downtown Fort Collins (in front of the Ben and Jerry’s: 1 Old Town Square STE 104B)
Free and open to the public. Located in Old Town Square, this splash area is more of in-ground fountains that spray up than a splash park. There are tables surrounding the fountains for parents to sit and watch their kids play. There is no parking directly in front of the splash pad but there is street parking in Old Town and the Mountain Ave. parking garage is close by.

Wellington Community Park
8760 Buffalo Creek Parkway, Wellington
Opened in Summer 2016, the splash pad at the Wellington Community Park is the area’s newest place to cool off during the summer! Come check out the water fun and when your kiddos are ready to move on, the two playgrounds, tennis courts or batting cages should keep them plenty busy. Rates: FREE

Tables available near the Tot Lot for spray park supervision. Footwear is recommended and swim diapers are required for children 4 and under.

If the water is not spraying, there is a red and yellow activation sensor located on the edge of the splash pad area; when it detects movement, the water will turn on! Swim diapers are required for children 4 and under.

Swim Beaches
Boyd Lake State Park
3720 N County Road 11-C, Loveland
Boyd Lake is a Colorado State Park located between Fort Collins and Loveland. Pack a picnic, grab a fishing pole and head to the swim beach for a day of outdoor fun! There is a sandy beach and pavilion for the swimming crowd, although all types of water craft are welcome at this lake. Check out the website for information on other activities or daily rentals available for use! A daily park pass is $9.00 per vehicle and leashed pets are allowed at the park.
Hours: The park is always open to campers (with reservations), fishing from the shore or boat. All other hours are Monday-Sunday, 5:00am to 10:00pm.
Lake Loveland Swim Beach
2626 N. Taft Ave. (in North Lake Park)
Free and open to the public. Note that the water is tested every week and the beach is occasionally closed due to elevated levels of E.coli. See more information here.

This outdoor pool is a hub for summer swim lessons. Check out class availability here. It has a winding water slide for swimmers 4 feet or taller and a separate, gated kiddy pool that is just 0.5-1-foot deep. Daily admission is $2.25 (5 or under), $3.25 (6-17 or 50+) and $3.50 for adults.
Hours: Open swim is 12-6 pm Monday-Friday, 10 am-6 pm Saturday and 1-6 pm Sunday.
Windsor Community Recreation Center

You had me at lazy river! Seriously though, do you really need to know more? OK, there is also a 23-person hot tub! Oh, and the water slide that you can see from the outside of the building gets the kiddos pretty pumped too. Daily admission is $3.00 (5 and under), $4.00 (6-17 or 50+) and $5.00 for adults. Free and open to the public 8am-8pm. This is a smaller splash pad next to the park, with big buttons to push to activate the water (so don’t be shy if you don’t see any of the water spouts spraying! One of the buttons just needs a push.)

Escape the city and the heat of summer and head West on Harmony Road in Fort Collins until you find yourself at Horsetooth Reservoir. There are two designated swimming areas at Horsetooth: South Bay, accessed via Harmony road, and Sunrise swim beach, located on the East side of the reservoir and accessed by driving North on Centennial Drive past Rotary Park. Follow this link for maps, water conditions (keep in mind this is chilly mountain water) and beach closure notifications. The South Bay beach can be rocky depending on the water level, so pack appropriate footwear. Stop by the Horsetooth Information Center upon your arrival at the South Bay or the Inlet Bay Marina for water craft rentals! No lifeguard on duty, no pets allowed at the swim beach. Splash Pads
Sandstone Ranch Park

Free and open to the public 8am-8pm. This large splash pad is in the middle of the playground and features areas for climbing, hopping, and spray jets. Places for adults to sit and shady spots are available while the kids run around are available!
Stephen Day Park
1340 Deerwood Dr., Longmont
Free and open to the public 8am-8pm. This is a smaller splash pad next to the park, with big buttons to push to activate the water (so don’t be shy if you don’t see any of the water spouts spraying! One of the buttons just needs a push.)

Large body of water that hosts many water activities but also features a swim beach with lifeguard on duty (see here for hours and pricing).
